Hi everyone,
I am really excited to get going with our new blog. I would love to see our members share their wonderful tips, knowledge, experiences, and anything they think would like to share with us. Just email us here on the blog with anything you like to share with us.
We had a wonderful meeting this past Saturday. Cathy did a wonderful presentation of " A Little Bit of Ireland" She share some wonderful stories and their trip to Ireland. Great photos she share with us of their trip ( Everything was so pretty green). We learn a bit of history of Ireland and Irish Records. She made a great scrapbook of their trip.Who ever brought the snacks great idea, yummy..love the dip :-) After the meeting I was checking out the books that were donated by the Moreno Valley Library, many wonderful books, a lot of good information in them. I was able to find a relative in one of the books that I was quickly looking at.
I like to share a great blog from Randy Seaver called Genea-Musings
I have been subscribed to his blog for over a year now. I really enjoy his postings. I have learn a lot from his blog. I really enjoy his posting in regards to the various programs that he has used and shows us ways to use them, and share the updates of new features on those programs. This past week he posted on the new interactive map on Family Search. I think I will have to go play with that new feature. http://www.geneamusings.com/2014/09/familysearch-has-added-interactive.html
I also ran across on Randy's blog. "52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks Challenge" from Amy's blog http://www.nostorytoosmall.com/52-ancestors-in-52-weeks/
One of these days I will get started. I have a lot to share about my family. They say you can start it anytime. I am glad I don't have to wait till next year to start.
Until next time, Happy tree climbing

The Moreno Valley Genealogical Society (MVGS) is a non-profit, educational organization in Moreno Valley, California. Since our establishment in 1998, we have been providing guest speakers at our meetings, sponsoring trips to genealogical libraries, and holding educational seminars.
Our

to collect and preserve local information and history. We have resources

Our library is also located in the Family History

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery,
and today is a gift; that is why they call it the present.
